I reached out for career coaching not because I was unhappy at work or actively looking for a transition. In fact, I was happy in my role and it offered many of the things I wanted, especially in today's market. But I could feel myself reaching a plateau: experiencing burnout, feeling stuck, and questioning what was next.
I went into coaching without really knowing what I wanted. What stood out immediately was Divya's ability to listen closely, pick up on what I wasn't necessarily able to articulate myself, and turn a lot of gray areas into something I could actually understand and act on. She asked questions that made me look at my career differently rather than simply telling me what I should do.
Her coaching is very structured while still feeling highly personalized. She combines ICF-style coaching with practical career strategy, so the sessions weren't just reflective, they consistently moved toward decisions, experiments, and action. After each session, she shared a thoughtful summary of what we had uncovered, the goals we had discussed, and the next steps we had agreed on. We revisited those goals each week, which gave me a level of accountability and momentum I would not have created on my own.
What I especially appreciated was that Divya didn't push me toward leaving a perfectly good job just because I felt stuck. Instead, she helped me separate what was working from what wasn't and understand the real source of my dissatisfaction.
Through that process, I realized that I wasn't losing interest in my field. I was losing passion for the kinds of roles I had been doing.
From there, we built a plan to explore what genuinely excites me, what motivates me, the environments where I do my best work, and what I want the next phase of my career and life to feel like.
I walked away with much more than career advice. I gained clarity about myself, a framework for making better career decisions, and a practical roadmap for exploring what comes next without making a reactive move. That clarity made all the difference.
